X-Frame Series
Our X-Frame series of cases is an exciting new concept in case building. Rather
than add pieces of aluminum extrusion to a case shape as it's being assembled, as in our
Flite Line series, we start each X-Frame case by welding
together our proprietary tubular aluminum extrusion and creating a rigid frame or what you might call
the "skeleton" of the case. After the frame is welded together we add the sides, bottom and top panels.
Since the frame is rigid, this style of construction allows for some unique engineering feats that are
not possible in the traditional Flite Line series. It is not uncommon for an X-Frame
design to incorporate full openings on two or three surfaces.
Some of the hardware we use in the X-Frame series, such as handles and caster
wheels, is the same as is used in our Flite Line series. Other hardware such as the panel
closure latches is unique to the X-Frame series. One extremely impressive piece of
hardware, available only in our X-Frame series, is our amazing "double knuckle"
steel hinge that allows panels to open a full 270 degrees. If you've ever wished you could access
all four sides of a large utility trunk the X-Frame series is the solution!
We use only Russian birch plywood in the construction of the X-Frame series.
All exterior surfaces are protected with a textured chemical coating that cures to an extremely
rugged, abrasion resistant finish. Since the panels are recessed into the frame of the case its
hardware is less likely to suffer damage from transit and abuse.
Although a premium style of case construction, the X-Frame is priced comparably
to its more conventional counterpart. In many instances the X-Frame price is actually lower than
the Flite Line version of a project due to reduced hardware and labor time.
The X-Frame series is revolutionizing the industry. Break a little new ground
and try one today. You'll start thinking about your case design possibilities in a whole new light!
